Aam Olas Ep 273: A Different Story from Peshawar

Aam Olas Ep 273 is refreshingly different. In this episode, I visited Peshawar and sat down for an interview that was not about crime, loss, or hardship, but about individuality, confidence, and a lighter side of society.

As I often say, the purpose of Aam Olas is not only to highlight problems. When something positive or different comes our way, it deserves attention, too.

How This Interview Happened

The story behind this episode is simple.

A young man had an accident and visited a doctor for treatment. When the doctor saw him, he found something unique — not related to injury, but personality.

The doctor suggested:

Why not introduce this young man to Yousaf Jan Utmanzai?

I accepted the request, and what followed was a fun and engaging conversation.

Meet Jamshed from Mohmand Agency

The young man’s name is Jamshed.

  • Age: 21–22 years
  • Education: Matric qualified
  • Hometown: Mohmand Agency, KPK

Jamshed is not a criminal.
He is not involved in drugs or any unlawful activity.

What makes him stand out is his Afro-style hairstyle, something rarely seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Even during his hospital stay, people would come just to take selfies with him — especially those who were bald, as he joked during the interview.

Standing Out in a Conservative Society

When asked about his mother’s reaction — something many Pakistani parents are strict about — Jamshed replied honestly.

Yes, his mother asked him several times to cut his hair.
But Jamshed explained that:

  • He stays away from drugs
  • He avoids bad habits
  • He respects his family

So he requested his parents to let him keep his hairstyle.

Eventually, they agreed.

Discipline Behind the Style

Jamshed also shared that maintaining this hairstyle is not easy.

  • He must wash his hair daily
  • Skipping one day makes it difficult to manage
  • Care and discipline are essential

This is not about fashion alone — it’s about commitment.

Work, Identity, and Self-Respect

Jamshed shared that he does not plan to continue formal education beyond matric.

However, he made one thing clear:

  • He is willing to work
  • He is open to job opportunities
  • But he prefers work that does not require changing his hairstyle

He also provided his contact number in case someone wishes to reach out for employment.

This reflects a simple message:

You can be responsible without losing your identity.

Aam Olas: Showing Every Shade of Society

Aam Olas Episode 273 reminds us that society is not made of only pain and problems.

There are:

  • Stories of confidence
  • Expressions of individuality
  • Moments worth smiling about

Sometimes, a simple conversation can say a lot about tolerance, acceptance, and self-expression.

Final Thought

Not every difference is rebellion.
Not every unique choice is negative.

Sometimes, it’s just “Zamung Style Ba Many” — our style, our way.
